Family Room at MetroHealth Medical Center

CURRENT HOURS: MONDAY – FRIDAY FROM 10 AM – 4 PM  (subject to change without notice)

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at MetroHealth Medical Center is located in the Glick Center, 4th Floor.

Families must register once per month at the Family Room volunteer desk.

Safety Protocols: subject to change without notice

  • Family Room occupancy is limited to 6 individuals at any one time
  • To-go food and drink items are available

Amenities Include:

  • Kitchenette offering snacks and beverages
  • Wireless internet
  • Quiet lounge area to relax, read, or watch TV
  • Play Area in the Family Room at MetroHealth includes comfy chairs for supervising adults.
  • The Dining Area for Family Room at Metro Health is a Homey modern space with s kitchenette, table and chairs.
  • Grab and Go Snacks on shelves in the Family Room kitchenette at MetroHealth
  • Kitchenette for Family Room at MetroHealth
  • Family Room at MetroHealth with kitchenette, lounge, and play area.
  • Lobby Area for Family Room at MetroHealth

Happy WheelsA volunteer smiles behind the Happy Wheels Cart for Family Room at MetroHealth. The cart is loaded up with snacks and drinks for families and their children.

Happy Wheels, a mobile hospitality cart provided by the Family Room, offers light refreshments and treats to patients and families in pediatric units.

Volunteer Opportunities

We would not be able to operate the Family Room, Happy Wheels carts, or provide special comforts such as family meals without the support of our dedicated volunteers.
