CEOs and pros putt for a purpose.

On Monday, June 28, 110 golfers (88 amateurs, 11 local pros and 11 touring pros) joined together for a day of comradery and golf at Mayfield Sand Ridge during the 42nd Annual Ronald McDonald House Pro-Am presented by Truline Industries. Prior to the shotgun start, golfers gathered to hear words from the late Mike Clegg, Pro-Am and Cleveland House co-founder, as he touched on what the Ronald McDonald House meant to him as a father.

When we started the event, we felt it was important to create something that would last a long time... I was blessed to be surrounded by talented and creative people, right from the start. The Pro-Am was never a “one man show”; rather, it was another group doing what its talent and passion drove it to do…because we cared, and we all still do! May those at the Ronald McDonald House, paid and volunteer, continue to reinvest in our assets, to perpetuate our dreams and their excellence, and to continue to find caring people who eschew the personal limelight to help the families we serve.

The afternoon culminated in celebration as awards were distributed to the top three foursomes. Preliminary results indicate that this year’s event raised more than $250,000. We are grateful to Pro-Am Committee Chair, Andy McCartney, and the entire committee, Court Durkalski and Truline Industries, and all of our sponsors.
